Description

A quick and easy 20-minute homemade bread made with pantry staples—no yeast, no kneading, just warm, fluffy bread ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the warm water and olive oil.
  4. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for 1 minute until smooth.
  6. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Use a sharp knife to score a few slashes on top of the loaf.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bottom sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh baking powder for the best rise.
  • Customize with herbs, cheese, or garlic powder for flavor.
  • Store leftovers wrapped in a clean towel or freeze slices for later.
