Description

Ingredients

  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the banana in a medium bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the sugar and melted butter until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring gently.
  6. Add optional mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts, if desired.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the edges are golden and tops are set.
  9. Cool on the tray for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra depth, use browned butter instead of melted butter.
  • The riper the banana, the better the flavor and moisture.
