- 2½ cups crushed vanilla wafers
- ½ cup melted butter
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip), divided
- 2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant banana pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced (for garnish)
- Crushed vanilla wafers (for garnish)
Instructions
- Combine crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter in a bowl until crumbs are coated.
- Press mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping until fully combined.
- Spread cream cheese layer over the chilled crust evenly.
- In another bowl, whisk together banana pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
- Spread the pudding layer evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
- Top with the remaining whipped topping and spread gently.
- Garnish with sliced bananas and extra crushed vanilla wafers.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture and flavor.
- Homemade whipped cream can be substituted for Cool Whip.
- To prevent banana browning, cover slices fully with pudding or brush with lemon juice.
- Graham crackers or Golden Oreos can replace vanilla wafers in the crust.
