Description

A creamy, no-bake layered dessert featuring a vanilla wafer crust, sweet cream cheese filling, banana pudding, and whipped topping.


Ingredients

  • 2½ cups crushed vanilla wafers
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip), divided
  • 2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant banana pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced (for garnish)
  • Crushed vanilla wafers (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter in a bowl until crumbs are coated.
  2. Press mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Fold in half of the whipped topping until fully combined.
  5. Spread cream cheese layer over the chilled crust evenly.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together banana pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  7. Spread the pudding layer evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Top with the remaining whipped topping and spread gently.
  9. Garnish with sliced bananas and extra crushed vanilla wafers.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture and flavor.
  • Homemade whipped cream can be substituted for Cool Whip.
  • To prevent banana browning, cover slices fully with pudding or brush with lemon juice.
  • Graham crackers or Golden Oreos can replace vanilla wafers in the crust.
