Description

A delicious and easy twist on classic Salisbury steak using turkey bacon for added flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground turkey, chopped turkey bacon, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the patties until browned on both sides.
  5. Add the beef broth to the skillet and simmer until the patties are cooked through.
  6. Dissolve the cornstarch in water and add to the broth, stirring until thickened.
  7. Serve the patties with the gravy on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding herbs such as thyme or parsley.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
