Delicious meatball subs featuring a rich bourbon BBQ sauce, turkey bacon, and chicken ham for a delightful twist.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
- 4 sub rolls
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 4 slices chicken ham
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In a large pan, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, lightly heat up the bourbon BBQ sauce.
- Once the meatballs are done, toss them in the heated bourbon BBQ sauce.
- To assemble the subs, place the meatballs in the sub rolls, top with chicken ham, turkey bacon, and shredded cheese.
- Place the assembled subs back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the meatball mixture.
- Feel free to use any type of cheese you prefer.
