			- 1 cup brown sugar
 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
 - 2 large eggs
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 2 cups old-fashioned oats
 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1 cup chopped pecans
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
 - Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
 - In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the creamed mixture.
 - Fold in the chopped pecans.
 - Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
 - Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Let cool on wire racks.
 
Notes
- For added flavor, try adding chocolate chips or a pinch of cinnamon.
 - Make sure the butter is softened, not melted for the best texture.
