Ingredients
Scale
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 box brownie mix (prepared according to package instructions)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions.
- Pour the brownie batter into the unbaked pie crust and spread it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the chopped pecans, corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gently pour the pecan mixture over the brownie batter, spreading it to cover the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes, until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use a dark chocolate brownie mix for a richer flavor.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans in a pinch.
- Letting the pie cool fully helps the layers set and slice cleanly.
- For added depth, mix in 1 tbsp of bourbon or 1/2 tsp espresso powder.
