- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups frozen French fries
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with the cream of mushroom soup, milk, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Spread half of the frozen French fries in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Layer the beef mixture over the fries, then top with the remaining fries and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in some diced pickles or bacon bits.
