Description

A delicious and healthy chicken dressing casserole with a twist of turkey bacon.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, turkey bacon, celery, onions, and cubed bread.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, thyme, eggs, and milk.
  4. Pour the broth mixture over the bread mixture and mix well.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and baked later.
  • Substitute any leftover cooked meat for a customized dish.
