Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the dried fruit with orange juice and let it soak for 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then fold in the soaked fruit and walnuts.
