- 6 cups cubed stale bread
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and milk. Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Add the melted butter and mix well.
- Pour the egg mixture over the soaked bread and fold in the raisins.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
- Let cool slightly before serving with caramel sauce.
Notes
