Description

A rich and creamy garlic mushroom chicken dish served with white cheddar parmesan penne.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken breasts, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, cheddar, and parmesan. Allow the sauce to thicken.
  5. Add cooked penne and chicken to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook until heated through.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with additional cheese if desired.
