Ingredients

- 1 pound chicken breasts
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken breasts, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms are tender.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, cheddar, and parmesan. Allow the sauce to thicken.
- Add cooked penne and chicken to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook until heated through.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional cheese if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.
- Adjust the amount of cheese to your liking.
