Description
This creamy garlic mushroom chicken dish is paired with white cheddar parmesan penne for a decadent meal that is sure to impress!
Ingredients

- 1 pound penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound chicken breasts, sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup white cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release moisture and begin to brown, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and stir in the white cheddar and parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked penne to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in garlic and herbs before cooking.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
