- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour in the heavy cream and mix until combined.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until set in the center. Let it cool.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
- To finish, sprinkle a layer of sugar on top and use a kitchen torch to caramelize it until golden brown.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
- Let the cheesecake cool completely before chilling to prevent cracks.
- Use a torch for even caramelization on the top.
