- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine buttermilk and cube steak. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Dredge the marinated steak in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry each steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double dredge the steak by returning it to the buttermilk and then to the flour mixture before frying.
