- 1 cup buttermilk

- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken fried steak in buttermilk for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Dredge each piece of marinated chicken in the flour mixture and shake off excess flour.
- Carefully place the coated chicken in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
