  • 1 pound chicken steak
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour (for gravy)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken steak in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown.
  5. For the gravy, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, and slowly add milk to thicken.
  6. Serve the crispy steak with gravy on top.
