Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with the heavy cream.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer taste, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
