Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, then fold in the diced apples.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
- In a small bowl, mix the rolled oats, flour, and brown sugar. Stir in the melted butter.
- Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the donuts before baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
