- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can French onion soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground beef.
- Add the rice, beef broth, French onion soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to taste.
- You can substitute brown rice for white rice; adjust cooking time as needed.
