- 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Gradually stir in chicken broth and milk, cooking until thickened.
- Mix in chicken and vegetables. Pour into the pie crust.
- Cover with a second crust, seal edges, and cut slits for steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Can be made ahead and reheated.
