Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups finely crushed or shaved ice
- 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7UP)
- 1 tablespoon Kool-Aid powder (any flavor)
- 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1/4 cup water (to mix with Kool-Aid powder)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix Kool-Aid powder with 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup simple syrup (if using). Stir until fully dissolved.
- Crush 2 cups of ice using a blender, food processor, or mallet until you get a fine, snow-like texture.
- Divide the shaved ice evenly into 4 cups or snowcone holders, gently shaping the ice.
- Slowly pour about 2 tablespoons of lemon-lime soda over each snowcone for a fizzy twist.
- Drizzle the Kool-Aid syrup generously over each snowcone.
- Serve immediately with a spoon or straw.
Notes
- Use different Kool-Aid flavors to create layered, rainbow-colored snowcones.
- Replace soda with sparkling water for a lighter version.
- Store extra syrup in the fridge for up to 7 days.
- Freeze syrup in ice cube trays for future use.
