My Oktoberfest Bacon Beer Mac & Cheese is the perfect indulgent twist for any fall gathering, combining savory turkey bacon and rich cheese in a creamy beer sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup beer
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  2. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same pot, melt butter. Stir in flour to form a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk and beer, cooking until thickened.
  5. Add cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine cooked macaroni and crumbled bacon with the cheese sauce. Stir to combine.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with extra bacon if desired.
