- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 6 slices turkey bacon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup Oktoberfest beer
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy and chop into pieces.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and whisk in the flour to create a roux.
- Gradually add the milk and beer, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted, then mix in the cooked macaroni and turkey bacon.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
