Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey and turkey bacon over medium heat until cooked through. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Layer with noodles, ricotta mixture, turkey mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers and finish with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, let the lasagna sit overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or zucchini for extra nutrition.
