Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup jelly or jam of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda.
  3. Mix well until the dough is smooth.
  4. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  5. Using a fork, flatten each ball and create a crisscross pattern on top.
  6. Make a small indentation in the center of each cookie.
  7. Fill the indentation with jelly or jam.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
