- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, blend flour, butter, granulated sugar, and salt.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan to form the crust.
- Bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden.
- In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until set.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the mixture.
