- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter and brown sugar together, then pour into a cake pan and sprinkle with pecans.
- In a bowl, mix eggs and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix until combined.
- Stir in buttermilk until smooth, then pour over the pecans in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
- Serve warm with whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat.
