Description

Enjoy a delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak with turkey bacon for a healthier option without losing the flavor!


Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 2 cups sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 pound sliced cooked beef or steak
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 12 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the bell peppers and onions until softened.
  3. Add the cooked steak to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables.
  4. Place the hoagie rolls in the skillet, and fill each with the steak and vegetable mixture.
  5. Top each sandwich with provolone cheese and cover to melt the cheese.
  6. Once the cheese is melted, remove from heat, and add the crispy turkey bacon to each sandwich.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add some hot sauce or jalapeños.
