Description

Rainbow Candy Apples are a fun and vibrant treat perfect for birthday parties, holiday gatherings, or any festive occasion. These candied apples not only look beautiful but are also delicious and easy to make!


Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized apples
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • food coloring (various colors)
  • 4 wooden sticks
  • 1 cup sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples, then insert wooden sticks into the tops.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium-high until boiling.
  3. Stop stirring and let it boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Divide the syrup into bowls and add food coloring to each for desired colors.
  6. Dip each apple into the colored syrup until fully coated, then place on parchment paper.
  7. If using, immediately sprinkle with sprinkles before the candy hardens.
  8. Allow the candy apples to cool completely before serving.

Notes
