Description

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the wet ingredients: oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla.
  4. Mix the wet and dry ingredients until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool completely.
  7. For the cheesecake layer, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  8. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the cooled cake.
  9. Top with fresh strawberries.
