- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, melt butter and mix in sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Spread half of the batter in the prepared dish, drizzle with caramel sauce, then top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- Let cool before cutting into squares for clean edges.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking.
