Ingredients

  • 2 cups navy beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup root beer
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Soak the navy beans overnight and drain.
  3. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine beans, root beer, barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard, chopped onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and crumbled bacon.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, removing the foil for the last 15 minutes.
