Ingredients

  • 2 pounds golden potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the golden potatoes thinly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and shredded cheese.
  7. Dot the top with butter.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
