Indulge in the rich and creamy flavor of Ruth’s Chris Potatoes au Gratin, elevated with a savory turkey bacon twist.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, and then add cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder; mix well.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the cheese and half of the turkey bacon.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and turkey bacon.
  6. Pour the cream mixture over the top of the layered potatoes.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • This dish can be made ahead of time; just reheat in the oven before serving.
  • Feel free to substitute regular bacon if preferred.
