Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and sauté until softened.
  5. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir to combine, and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps, and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add meatballs back to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
