- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
- Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and sauté until softened.
- Sprinkle flour over mushrooms, stir to combine, and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps, and bring to a simmer.
- Add meatballs back to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles for a complete meal.
- You can use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
