- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and spread half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
- Sprinkle sea salt over the top and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
