Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the dough in a greased baking dish. Drizzle with salted caramel sauce, then spread the remaining dough on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra treat, sprinkle some sea salt on top right after removing from the oven.
