Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain rice

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until pink.
  3. Stir in the rice and Cajun seasoning, mixing well.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, add the bay leaf, and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
