- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 4 slices of American cheese
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onions until browned.
- Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, butter one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side, layer cheese and Sloppy Joe mixture, then top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Slice and serve hot.
