- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups raisins
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the oats and raisins until well mixed.
- Drop by the spoonful onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them.
- Feel free to add nuts for extra crunch.
