- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the batter in the pan, then cover with the remaining batter.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature ingredients.
- Serve warm for a gooey texture.
