Description

A deliciously sweet and tangy strawberry earthquake cake that will delight your family.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and oil until well combined.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a greased pan.
  4. Arrange the sliced strawberries over the batter.
  5. In another bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries.
  7. Top with remaining cake batter, then sprinkle coconut and pecans on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
