- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, and eggs.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just blended. Fold in the pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a sweeter bread, you can add extra sugar or honey.
