Ingredients

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg large
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 4 strips turkey bacon
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, pineapple juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Wrap each meatball with a strip of turkey bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the meatballs with barbecue sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the meatballs in barbecue sauce for 30 minutes before baking.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
