- 2 pounds potatoes
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into chunks and boil in salted water until soft.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add sour cream, cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt to the potatoes, then mash until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble it and sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until heated through and the top is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, add more sour cream or cheese.
