Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 cups cabbage, chopped
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for a few minutes.
- Add beef broth, salt, pepper, thyme, and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Notes
- For added flavor, include a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
- This stew can be made a day in advance for enhanced taste.
