- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer ingredients starting with meat sauce, followed by noodles, then ricotta, and mozzarella cheeses. Repeat layers, finishing with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Top with reserved bacon and bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
