- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In another bowl, mash the bananas and mix with buttermilk and vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the banana mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
