- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cups chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let the cakes cool before removing from the pans.
- Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions and let it cool.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Layer one cake with pudding and whipped cream, then top with the second cake and cover with remaining pudding and cream.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
