  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  4. Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let the cakes cool before removing from the pans.
  7. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions and let it cool.
  8. Whip cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  9. Layer one cake with pudding and whipped cream, then top with the second cake and cover with remaining pudding and cream.
